I had tried switching over to a regular foam mattress, but it soon developed a worn spot in the middle that left my back and hips hurting. This mattress has medium-firmness springs in the center for support and a layer of foam for fine-tuning, and I've been sleeping much better on it.
The salesperson asked me a few questions and steered me toward the mattress I needed without any kind of pushy sales techniques. I was able to make a decision quickly instead of fighting upstream against a torrent of upgrades I didn't need.
